Located in Maifeng Village, Mailiao Township, Yunlin County, Kongfan Temple houses Matzu as its main deity and was originally built on Haifenggang Street in the 24th year of the reign of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1685 AD). It was later transferred to its current address in the 7th year of the reign of Qing Emperor Qianlong (1742 AD). With over 4,000 branch temples across Taiwan, Kongfan Temple is packed with visiting disciples on Matzu’s birthday every year.
